The Venue

The wedding will be held at the one and only historic Bob Baker Marionette Theater.

The nearly 100-year-old venue opened as a silent movie theater, was then a church and now is home to the iconic Bob Baker Marionettes.

Night Before Fun

We’ll be taking over the turntables at the delightfully dive-y Blispy Bar.
369 N Western Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90004

One of our favorites, Blipsy is an arcade bar with vintage arcade classics and pinball. We’ll also have DJ’s Mark Laughlin and Ben Brunnemer on the turntables. It’s in Koreatown, so right around the corner from the Line Hotel, where many of our guests are staying.

Dress

Jeans + T-shirt casual, but really, wear whatever makes you happy. We’ll be in jeans & t-shirts. Yes, really.

Need a place to stay?

Come join us at the lovely Line Hotel in nearby Koreatown. We’ll be staying there Friday and Saturday, along with our family and many of our friends. Otherwise, Airbnb’s in Highland Park (closest to the venue), Silver Lake, Atwater Village and Echo Park are a good bet. They’re all walkable, safe and fun neighborhoods.

What to Expect

Pizza from Triple Beam Pizza with vegetarian and gluten-free options. Beer, wine (lots of French rosé!) and tequila shots all night. Legendary DJ Bill Coleman. Ice cream. A puppet show. A few sweet words from our family and an epic dance dance party. Officiated by Corey Pemberton.

Kids

Kids are totally welcome to attend, as there will be other youngsters to meet and play with. We think they’ll dig the puppet show too. Only recommendation is earplugs for extra little ones as the music will be a little loud.
